Strength: Stubborn nature, alchemy, research, martial arts, pissing off his superior officers
Weakness: Restraining his temper, handling short jokes, any view of human depravity will borderline traumatize him, daddy issues
'Personality:' Edward is extremely short for his age, and as such, is very sensitive about his height; even the slightest reference to it will send him into a rage. He has had to grow up at a very early age, but he still shows glimpses of a childish personality (he's terrified of needles and he hates milk). He is very idealistic and lives his life by the law of Equivalent Exchange - if you want to obtain anything, you first have to give something up. He believes that if you work hard enough for something, you'll inevitably be rewarded for it. Despite his occasional bouts of immaturity, he is a selfless and independent young adult; even at a young age, he has already earned the title "Hero of the People".
Extra Information: Edward's entire life course has been central to his brother, Alphonse - when they were still young boys, they attempted the taboo art of Human Transmutation in an effort to resurrect their beloved mother. The act caused Ed to lose his left leg and his brother lost his entire body. Edward sacrificed his right arm to attach his brother's soul to a suit of armor, and - after being brought to the home of the Rockbells for emergency surgery - he had automail limbs replace the ones taken by the Gate. As a result, Ed joined the military to be able to pursue the Philosopher's Stone, all in the hopes to be able to get Alphonse's body back. This has given Ed a very empathetic heart towards those that suffer, his view of the word "human" is more lax than most, and he is extremely defensive of his brother.
