Abilities/Powers: She can see and control/affect Hua, a form of spiritual energy given off by living things; knows decent fist- and sword-style forms of fighting, though is limited by her handicap; usually can see through lies and such (but only when she tries or forces herself to); can see all twelve of the Dragons, but is bonded to the Mirror Dragon only.

Extra: Twelve-year old Eon has been in training for years. His intensive study of Dragon Magic, involves two kinds of skills: sword-work and magical aptitude. He and his master hope that he will be chosen as a Dragoneye- an apprentice to one of the twelve energy dragons of good fortune, despite his status as a 'cripple'. But Eon has a dangerous secret.
He is actually "Eona", a sixteen-year-old girl who has been masquerading as a young boy to become a Dragoneye. Females are forbidden to use Dragon Magic; if anyone discovers she has been hiding in plain sight, her death is assured. But now, after a 500 year disappearance, the Mirror Dragon has chosen her as its Dragoneye, and the fate of the Empire rests in her hands.
Her left hip was crushed in an accident when she was young, but it has mostly healed; her left side is stiff and sore at times, and she even has a bad limp in that leg, along with a large, vivid scar.
Eon tries to act like a male most of the time, except under extreme stress. Even though she is now, technically, a high noble, she still has a tendency to 'follow' others and to act submissive.
According to her 'public' image, the Lord Eon is a 'Moon Shadow', a boy who has been castrated before puberty. It gives a reason for her more feminine looks, and a reason for her small stature.
The Mirror Dragon (also known as the Dragon Dragon; Keeper of Truth) is based on East Asian astrology, as well as the other beasts of good fortune. They are: Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig, and Rat.
