Background[]
It's the year Diaspora 499 (AD 5032). Humans have colonized the Solar System, fought several devastating wars, invented faster-than-light travel, and entered a Golden Age of peace, culture, and happiness.
Too bad you don't live there anymore, Lika! Ha-ha!
Elegante[]
Too much gravity, terrible food, no amenities, and rude people. Lika is going to file such a complaint at the offices of the line when they reach their destination.
Powerz[]
Lika is a telepath, but not a very good one. She can only detect emotions.
Like all people from her culture, Lika has neural induction implants that allow her to make a direct connection to her "helpmate," a wearable personal computer of immense power and flexibility (by 21st-century standards.) It's capable of hacking any hackable post on ShipNet and locking Lika's transmissions perfectly, and serves as a data repository for her. As far as being a portable library, it's only as good as the 51st-century version of Wikipedia it has loaded, however, which means Lika periodically busts out with some interesting perspectives on what for her is ancient history.
As all telepaths in her world do, Lika has synesthesia, which isn't so much a "power" as just "a thing."
Being from Titan, Lika finds the gravity aboard Elegante to be seven times too high. Also not so much a "power" as a "weakness."
Relationships[]
Lika is friendly to everyone until they prove to be jerks.
This happens a lot aboard Elegante.
